On Sunday P took me to a little 1,000 year old ghost town called Bussana Vecchia. It is my absolute favorite place in Italy. In 1887 there was a huge earthquake that killed more than 2000 people and ruined most of the town. The survivors decided to rebuild further down the hill and left the old town deserted. In the 1960's a group of artists moved into the ghost town and they are still there to this day. They use it as a place to create, showcase, sell art, and live simply while keeping the old ruins intact.

The old church. This picture does the place no justice, if you ever have any chance to go see Bussana please do, it is breathtaking.

P amongst ruins and sun beams.
Me in a stupor. Too much beauty does that to a person.
