Film Frenzy
In the last few days I find myself floundering in the vast amounts of free time on my hands. After weeks of studying or thinking about how I should be studying it is odd to lay on my bed reading a book without feeling a twinge of guilt. In the last few days I have rediscovered America's favorite time killer and have succumbed to the joys of the great cinema. Youth in Revolt...what to say? I guess I should just tell you that it stars Michael Cera who plays his usual geeky self AND his risque alter ego Francios(pictured below). If that isn't enough to tempt you then you are probably a humorless robot. The second film I watched was The Graduate. I have been meaning to see it forever and it is a movie with such a big reputation that I was a little afraid that I would be underwhelmed by what it would actually turn out to be. Not true in the least! I loved it! I would watch it again and again and again(and I probably will). I think I really liked how the story wasn't sugar coated and there was no happy ending where everything magically resolves itself. I also would not mind stealing Mrs. Robinson's look. There is no denying she is a real fox.
Funnily enough both movies are set in California and at least parts of them in Berkeley! What an odd coincidence.
